About Amir Laghai and Will Sloan

Co-founder

Amir Laghai

Born and raised in Mississauga, Amir studied Engineering Physics at Carleton University with a minor in Physics. He continued at Carleton with a master's in Biomedical Engineering, specializing in Data Science, and has worked with the Sam3 AGE-WELL Lab on aging-care projects, including a non-invasive system for detecting dementia.

Will Sloan

Will grew up in south Ottawa and studied Computer Systems Engineering at Carleton University. He completed his master's in June 2026 with thesis work on using hearing aids to track human activity for at-home clinical assessments, and has spent four years with the Sam3 AGE-WELL Lab on health-related engineering projects.
